Back for his 2nd year, choreographer Salvador Medina brings his bold, unfiltered movement and raw storytelling to the Reno Dance Fest stage. Both magnetic and fun, Salvador never holds back—expect energy that’s real, wild, and unforgettable. Dancing with him are Juju Dietrich, Jade Tagulao, Daisy Gil, Samantha Nelson, Ziya Noxon, and Grace Harris-Hammond.

✨ ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT ✨
We’re thrilled to welcome Cari Cunningham to the RDF stage and as a workshop leader for the very first time! 🎉 Cari has shaped countless dance voices in Reno over the years, and we’re honored to have her join the RDF fam.

Cari is presenting a work titled “Going with My Gut” performed by dancers: Leslie Balzer, Anthony McMenamy, Andrew Paiz, Angela Ritchie, Maggie Stack, Kimberly Yukes

Cari is an Associate Professor of Dance at UNR, founder/artistic director of bellē contemporary dance co., and her work has been performed nationwide and internationally—including NYC, Jacob’s Pillow, and Puebla, Mexico. Inspired by Merce Cunningham (no relation!), her choreography often uses chance as a creative tool—something she’ll share in her workshop Can You “Chance It”? 🎲✨

📍 Workshop: Can You “Chance It” — Play with coins, dice, and movement to spark fresh choreography—perfect for all ages and anyone ready to shake things up.

We’re thrilled to announce the first-ever belly dance group to grace the Reno Dance Festival stage! 🌊

Choreographed by powerhouse movers Sabrina Moberly and Katie DiLibero—two artists who have been making waves in the Reno dance scene for years—their newest work, WATER, promises to bring a dynamic and vibrant energy to this year’s festival.

Joining them on stage are the incredible dancers Julie Hallauer, Isabel Fagoaga, Bridget Landon, Katie DiLibero, and Sabrina Moberly.

We are beyond excited to welcome this ensemble as they share their artistry and captivating presence with our community. 💃🔥

We are thrilled to welcome back Sara “Honey” Eastman for her third consecutive year as a choreographer at Reno Dance Fest! Honey has become a vibrant force and leader in the Reno dance scene, and we can’t wait for her to light up the stage once again with her signature energy and power.

Joining Honey in this year’s piece are the incredible dancers Ivy Case, Alex Clearwater, Alice Claire, and Melody Hannah. 💃🔥

We are excited for our 4th annual event at the beautiful Robert Z Hawkins outdoor amphitheater! We aim to support local dance artists and choreographers by providing a stage for their original work proceeds of which go directly to the artists!

We are celebrating a full day of dance, including workshops for the community, all ages and skill levels from 10am-5pm, the main event performance featuring local Reno & Tahoe dance artists and our signature after party to let loose (details for the After Party TBA).

This is an all ages event and it is suggested to bring your own beverages and snacks. We encourgae that you bring a blanket or lawn chair should you decide to sit in the grass (although there are seats available).

Our next event is September 19, 2025 at Bartley Ranch at the beautiful Robert X Hawkins Amphitheater.
