Last Friday after a very long and wet load in day, we headed to Flatstick Pub — Redmond to kick off our Smoke on the Sound weekend.

We had a blast connecting with teams, judges, sponsors, volunteers, friends, and family! Huge thanks to Flatstick Pub — Redmond for such a great (and dry) event space and to our BBQ family for helping us kick off the weekend right!

Cheers to The Big Meat Up. We already can’t wait to continue the tradition next year 🤍

Smoke on the Sound’s inaugural year is officially in the books, and wow... what a weekend it was! 🔥

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to hang out, support the event, interact with our incredible sponsors, and taste the amazing creations from our talented BBQ teams. Your energy and enthusiasm made this first year truly unforgettable.

To all of the BBQ teams, thank you for the time, effort, and creativity you put into preparing such delicious samples. Your passion for great barbecue was on full display, and we couldn’t have asked for a better group to help make this event a success.

This may be the end of our inaugural year, but it’s just the beginning. We already can’t wait for next year! Stay tuned because we’ll be sharing plenty more recaps, photos, and memories from this past weekend in the coming days.

We couldn’t be more thrilled to unveil our Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion trophies, hand carved out of stone in Bali and inspired by the two tallest peaks in Washington State. The carving tradition in Bali stretches back centuries, passed down through families and small village workshops.

Each piece is uniquely crafted, transforming iconic Pacific Northwest landscapes into works of art worthy of the champions who earn them.

Each piece is hand-carved from a solid block of natural Indonesian andesite stone. An artisan team carves each piece one by one using chisels, diamond burr rotary tools, and grinders. Every sculpture is hand-carved and no two pieces are exactly alike.

These aren’t just trophies. They’re Sculpted Peaks. And we can’t wait to place them in the hands of this year’s winners.
