in a protected open space, surrounded by the beautiful Sacramento River, Turtle Bay Exploration Park, Sheraton Redding Hotel and the magnificent Sundial Bridge. Our reserved shows accommodate over 2000 guests with seating on the main floor, dress circle, center and side balconies. Our general admission shows accommodate 2300 guests with a standing pit in front of the stage, and seating available in the dress circle, center and side balconies. When the facility is hosting conventions, trade shows, and exhibit shows, the seats are removed on the main floor and the balcony sections are raised, allowing the entire area to be used for display space, exhibits or banquets. Our outdoor concerts have the capacity to host 5000 guests or more. The City of Redding owns the auditorium and has partnered with Advance Redding, a local public benefit nonprofit management company, to operate the facility. Redding Civic Auditorium is currently hosting the highest annual volume of live entertainment events in its history and has received substantial upgrades to the facility totaling well over one million dollars.
