It is with incredible sadness that I must say goodbye to Brenda Clark, she was my best friend and business partner of 35 years. Brenda passed away Dec 22, peacefully in her sleep. We have been friends since 1982 and started Klein and Clark Sports in 1985. She was so kind, generous, loyal and her moral compass pointed straight up to the heavens. It is hard to process all we have been through over those 35 years and all she accomplished in making the world and especially our valley a better place. Together we produced over 300 events and raised millions of dollars for charity and changed so many people's lives. I have never met anyone quite like her. She was family, and was Aunt B to my kids Matthew and Madeline who she adored and they loved her so much. In October we put on our last event as Klein and Clark Sports with the Tram Road Challenge and now the final chapter is closed. She will be missed by us all and if you ever participated in a Klein and Clark event over the past 33 years she touched each one of you with her hard work and dedication to excellence. God's Speed B, we love you.

A Memorial gathering will be held January 5th, from 2-4pm at Brenda’s Brothers house 77590 Mountain View, Palm Desert, CA 92211

Brenda Clark and I want to sincerely thank all of you who have supported our events over the past 33 years. We have been so fortunate and blessed to be in a business where 99.9% of all the people we met and talked with not only were super positive and fun to be around but so many who became great friends over the years. After 33 years and over 300 events produced this years Tram Run will be the last event from Klein and Clark Sports. We assure you that we will find a suitable company and race director to continue the Tram Run as you have known it.

We also want to thank the entire team from the Palm Springs Aerial Tram, who have been a delight to work with and you can’t find a more professional group of people. Nancy Nichols, Greg Purdy, Cara Youngman, and Tim Jones, are the ones we worked the closest with and they are awesome!!! We just love the PS Aerial Tram for so many reasons.

Finally, I want to thank my main staff and volunteers who work diligently to bring you all a fun event each year, Tod Davidson, Max Breen, Matthew Sills, Judy Gotlieb and Amy Dibello, you are truly the best ever. Also a special thanks to Timberline Timing and Spectrum Sports Timing for a great job each year.

Are you looking for a unique challenge? The Palm Springs Aerial Tram Road Challenge 6K Run/Walk is unlike any event you have ever done. For over 32 years people from around the world have been coming to Palm Springs in October to take on this challenge which starts at 400’ elevation and climbs to over 2,600’ elevation. It is not your typical weekend 5K and completing this event is something you will remember forever. With over 1500 participants each year, ranging in age from 5 to 95, this challenge is one that most can do with little training. Whether you walk or run or a combination of both, you certainly earn the custom finisher medal and t-shirt you will receive at the finish line located at the lower tram station. At the finish line we have refreshments, vendor expo booths, awards, prizes and buses to bring you back down the hill. Dogs are welcome with there own water bowls at the three fluid stations on the course.

Has everyone started training for the 32nd annual Tram Road Challenge?!?!
The registration will open at 5:00am on Saturday the 27th, the day of the race! Or you can go to www.kleinclarksports.com to register for the challenge. You can then pick up your race packet at the Running Wild Store at 611 South Palm Canyon Dr., located in Suite 10. Race packet pick up will begin on Thursday, October 26th from 2pm-6pm.

All runners and walkers are invited to this challenging yet rewarding event! We would love to see more kids and families get into fitness! This year for the Tram Road Challenge we will be having a costume contest with cash prizes for the best costume. So make sure to wear your best costumes and be prepared to sweat!
