Winemaker Erich Bradley makes w**es that live up to the name, precise, layered, and built on some of the most coveted cool-climate sites in California. Lucky Well Vineyard Chardonnay from the West Sonoma Coast. Wendling Vineyard Pinot Noir from the far reaches of Anderson Valley. And a Blanc de Noirs that shows just how far this portfolio reaches.

Even the labels are tactile, you'll want to run your fingers across them before you lift the glass.

Food has never been an afterthought here. As you make your way through the room, our culinary partners are set up throughout it, savory to sweet, live fire and careful hands, bites made to meet whatever's in your glass at that moment.

VIP has its own terrace, and that's where the best of it lands. Open air, a smaller crowd, and room to actually stand and taste.

Before the Sta. Rita Hills bore its name, it was a stretch of cold, wind-carved land that local growers deemed un-plantable.

In 1971, Richard Sanford planted Pinot Noir there despite the theories a decision that would define an appellation and, in time, the shape of California Pinot itself. He later went to considerable lengths to preserve the appellation's name. Alma Rosa followed in 2005, and today w**emaker Samra Morris continues that pursuit: estate-grown, organically farmed, unmistakably of its place.
