Quarter Midget racing is an exciting, family-oriented sport for children ages 5-17. The cars, rules, and safety procedures are designed specifically for kids. Drivers learn essential life skills, including sportsmanship, coordination, independent thinking, self-confidence, and defensive driving techniques. This is not a โ€œdrop off your kidโ€ kind of sport, but an involved family pastime. Few other sports permit all members of the family to participate. At AQMA, kids do the driving while their family members serve as the pit crews, chief mechanics, scorekeepers, lap counters, snack bar workers, and other volunteer positions.
