Beef Nation,
These posts are never easy, but I feel a personal and moral obligation to address each and every one of you as we close the chapter on the 2026 season.
To our fans, partners, front office staff, players, and coaches—thank you. Thank you for your effort, determination, heart, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to the Omaha Beef throughout this season. While there is so much to be proud of and grateful for, the reality is that we fell short of our ultimate goal: earning the opportunity to compete in a sixth consecutive championship game and bringing home another NAL Championship.
Around our organization, we often say, "The Standard is the Standard." In Omaha, that standard is competing for and winning championships. Those words are not just a slogan for merchandise or a phrase we repeat to make ourselves feel better. They represent the culture, expectations, and identity of this organization every time we put on the orange and black and represent the city of Omaha.
This season, we did not meet that standard, and
As the leader of this organization, that responsibility falls squarely on my shoulders. It starts with me, and it ends with me. While there are many factors that contribute to the outcome of a season, I accept full accountability for the decisions I made over the past 12 months that ultimately put our team in a position where we were unable to achieve our goals.
What I will remember most, however, is the character of the people who refused to quit. When adversity hit, when others counted us out, and when some chose to walk away or look ahead to next season, there was a core group of players, coaches, staff members, partners, and fans who embraced the challenge. They grabbed the bull by the horns and refused to go down without a fight. That resilience, toughness, and pride were on full display throughout the season, and it is something every member of Beef Nation should be proud of.
To those individuals, and to every fan and partner who stood with us through both the highs and the lows, I make you this promise: I will learn from the mistakes I made this year. I will use every lesson, every setback, and every disappointment as fuel to become a better leader and to ensure we return stronger, more prepared, and more united.
The work begins now.
On Monday, June 15th at 8:00 a.m., the 2027 season officially begins for the Omaha Beef. We will get back to work, and we will do everything in our power to return this organization to the championship standard that Beef Nation deserves.
