Through playful expression, community healing, and emotional freedom, we create spaces where adults can finally reconnect with themselves, with each other, and with the pure feeling of happiness they thought they’d outgrown. We were taught that adulthood means grinding nonstop. That joy is something you feel after your PTO request gets approved, if you even remember to use it. We believe that’s backwards. We’re building a culture where adults are encouraged to laugh loudly, move freely, and connect deeply, because you shouldn’t need time off to feel good in your own life. Our Adult Recess season launches in April with the high-energy buzz of the Adult Recess Festival, a one-of-a-kind experience that transforms a city park into an adult-only playground overflowing with joy, movement, and connection. It’s the kickoff to a year of unforgettable play. And the play doesn’t stop there. Throughout the year, we host pop-up Adult Recess events across NC, SC, and VA, each one offering a chance to reset, recharge, and remember what joy feels like. The season culminates in our powerful Veteran vs. Everybody Adult Recess each November—a special Veterans Day celebration that honors service, uplifts community, and gives back by inviting veterans to participate completely free.
