My name is Kayla Kozar (formerly Kayla Capps) and I am a photographer serving the Raleigh, North Carolina area and beyond. I am a graduate of Appalachian State University (Go Mountaineers!) where I received my bachelor's degree in Commercial Photography while also developing an interest in video production. I have been taking photos ever since I was four years old with my little pink Barbie camera

, but have been operating as a professional photographer since 2012. I'm a fan of big smiles, fun shoots, and creating long lasting memories. I delve into the personalities of my subjects and show them for their true selves. I aim to tell a story with every image. When Toni asked me to take some photos of her and her cat Jonathan for her work, I could have never anticipated quite how cute he would be. 😻 She is an animal lover through and through but it’s easy to love that sweet little face. The Clement family are always such a treat to photograph. I could hardly believe how big Elsie had gotten since our shoot just last year. And she’s talking up a storm these days. I learned that her sister Joey is her best friend and she loves Skye from Paw Patrol. These four are just the sweetest. I can’t wait to get them in front of my camera again!

Little Hudson Crowder is only 2 weeks old and has already proven how photogenic he is. I was just in awe of how tiny he was (and yet already holding his head up so well???). Jon and Elayne are two of my favorite people in the world and Hudson is so lucky to have them as his guides and support system through this world. While the lack of sleep may be hitting harder than ever right now, know you both are doing an amazing job, and all 3 of you are incredibly loved from Raleigh! ❤️
