1) Organize activities that help develop understanding and appreciation of the Hispanic/Latino community; its diversity, cultural norms, and contributions
2) Offer cultural and arts programming that represents the Hispanic/Latino experience and advance its cultural heritage, art forms, and creative minds
3) Design initiatives that accelerate engagement within the broader community for greater cross-cultural exchanges, networking, and shared action

🎨🖌Looking to paint, but not sure where to start?👩🏻‍🎨👨🏾‍🎨

Take a look at The Essence of Painting for Beginners with Mónica Linares. It's the perfect 2 day workshop to begin or enhance your painting practice.

Discover the joy of painting in community. Join artist Monica Linares for a relaxed weekend with 10 hours of instruction in a beginner‑friendly painting class. If you want to build real painting skills, this is the class for you.

Monica believes in building a strong foundation, and that's exactly what this beginner painting class will give you. By the end of the course, you'll understand the fundamentals of value, color, composition and how to apply them to your own paintings.

You will be guided step by step through your first (or third!) still-life painting using the provided reference photos. Along the way, Monica will also share the studio best practices that will help you paint consistently, the secret to improving faster!

Mónica loves to help other artists establish a painting practice that takes them to paint more, daily if possible, because she believes that the more you paint, the better painter you become.

This workshop is open to adults of all skill levels. No experience needed!

Who Are We? Figure Drawing with Peter Marin ✏️🎨

Explore the human figure in a supportive, critical, and creative environment that combines technical instruction with conceptual insight.

Whether you’re a seasoned artist or picking up a pencil for the first time, this class welcomes all skill levels!

What’s included:
• 18 hours of instruction
• Slide lectures exploring the human body through art history & philosophy
• 2+ hours per session with a live n**e model
• Painting stations with table, chair, tabletop, and (limited) stand up easel options

Bring your own medium! Students may work in any dry medium of their choice.
