Nick Blum — TEDx speaker, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, and men's work facilitator — has spent nearly two decades searching for the answer, first on the mats, then in circles, retreats, and somatic practice. What he found: real strength isn't measured by aggression or control. It's measured by presence, emotional regulation, humility, and the capacity to create safety under pressure.

He's bringing that inquiry to the Bliss Boogie Summit: Healthy Masculinity: Strength, Presence & Connection

Inspired by his TEDx Talk, Nick will facilitate an interactive discussion on how masculine energy can become a source of safety, intimacy, and grounded leadership — rather than control or fear. Expect honest reflection over lecture, curiosity over debate, and real conversation about vulnerability, boundaries, embodiment, and what it means to hold strength without sacrificing tenderness.

Meet The Bruised Bunny — Durham, NC's home for handcrafted B**M toys and furniture, and one of the makers you'll find at Bliss Boogie this September.

Every piece is made by hand, built with real quality and durability in mind, because great toys should perform as well as they look. Their lineup includes floggers, dragon tails, paddles, lollipops, and canes, each crafted to deliver a distinct feel, from heavy thud to sharp sting to everything in between.

Whether you're brand new to kink or have years under your belt, there's something here built to be used and made to last.

They also take custom orders for crosses, benches, and other kink furniture.

And here's something fun...Bruised Bunny's own Jeff wears two hats at Bliss Boogie. He's not just a vendor, he's our Vendor Coordinator, which means he's also the one to talk to if you make things.

The opportunity for adventure and exploration! Bliss Boogie is a s*x-positive friendly space designed for a choose-your-own-adventure experience.

During the day, there are mixers, vendors, classes, music, and roaming through the woods or sunbathing next to the lake options.

In the evening, there are more options:
- a mixer
- a raffle
- dancing
- temple space
- s*xy time play spaces
- kink (including try-it-out stations)

The goal is to provide a safe-r space for people to learn and grow and experience while connecting on a genuine, authentic level with others.

What wakes YOUR body up?

That's the question Special K (they/them) will be asking at Bliss Boogie — and we think it's worth sitting with before you even show up.

Special K is an educator and Emerging Faculty member with the Body Electric School, where their work centers erotic embodiment, consent, agency, and pleasure as pathways to greater aliveness. With a background in social work and trauma-informed practice, they bring a grounded, body-aware lens to sensation, desire, boundaries, and connection—approaching eros not as s*xuality or attraction, but as life force itself: the capacity to feel, notice, respond, and connect more fully.

They're teaching: Come Alive: A Body Electric Exploration of Eros & the Senses

Using breath, movement, sound, touch, and sensory awareness, Special K will guide an experiential introduction to Body Electric's approach: No performance, no particular outcome, just curiosity about what draws your attention, what feels nourishing, and where you expand or contract. Every practice is an invitation; modify, pause, or opt out anytime. No prior experience needed.

Consent and choice are foundational here, not just as a verbal agreement, but as an ongoing, embodied practice throughout.
