The Raleigh Convention Center will open its expansion in 2028, twenty years after its initial build changed the landscape of Downtown Raleigh. The new Fourth Ward Entertainment District is taking shape, with commemorative signage now being installed throughout the district, starting with a new sign that went up today outside Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts! These new placemaking markers celebrate the history and culture of Raleigh’s Fourth Ward while giving visitors a chance to learn more about the neighborhood they’re exploring.
