July 4th Fireworks Show at Mineola Civic Center sponsored by the City of Mineola.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
8 pm - Lake Country Symphonic Band
9 pm - FIREWORKS CELEBRATION

Donations for the fireworks can be made at City Hall, 300 Greenville Hwy.

Anybody out there that can help these fine folks out?

We need the community's help! It would help us greatly if you could share this post to your page and group pages!

We have a disabled Afghanistan war veteran and his family who just found out they are being blessed with another child soon. They live within Wood County. As with many folks, times have been tough. They are in need of a van that has at least 8 seats for the entire family. (Update: The current family car has broken down, so they do not have transportation at the moment.) Their current vehicle is not large enough for the family. They have reached out to other organizations looking for help. At this time, they haven't had any luck finding a new vehicle. If you know of someone who may be looking to donate a van in good running order to this family, please either call our number, or send us a message on Facebook.

You know how after you think for a while you come up with something you need to completely forgot, and it sometimes embarrasses you?

Well I've got one of those right now. A lot of the folks that came to the festival remarked on how cool our logo was. And I know that many of the t-shirts were sold because of that.

Well when I was thanking everybody at the end of the festival, I made sure I mentioned Mark and Barbara, my gracious landlords, all of the artists that played, as well as so many folks that helped out.

What I completely forgot was to thank the one that was responsible for that wonderful artwork.

Let's hope that this does it. Thank you so much Kevin Tinney for what you put together for this.

When we do this again next year, I'm certainly hoping your top yourself.

I'd like to think that we may have seen another Joe Ely this weekend at NETXEclipsefest. There were certainly lots of great musicians and singer-songwriters here.

If you were at the festival, who was your favorite? To me they're like my kids: I loved them all and can't pick a favorite.

I never made it out of high school, so I was really lucky to go around the world and get to see all this stuff. When I actually think of how things happened to me—it was unreal. I had absolutely zero resources, but Lubbock had a little underground music scene. I always laugh about how we had a pretty good built-in crowd in Lubbock. We’d go to the outskirts of town, where the honky-tonks were, because Lubbock was freshly wet—it had been dry for seventy years. There weren’t package stores, but there were bars. We started getting a little bit of a following out at the bigger honky-tonks and among the Texas Tech kids. I have no idea what things would be like now if I had gone in a different direction.

Problem is, I can't decide to watch the eclipse or Meredith Crawford and Zach Aaron .

3 days of this is starting to get to me people. I completely forgot. With a donation you'll get a t-shirt a wristband and if you're really lucky one of the last few remaining stickers.

And of course they're still going to be music. Brumley and Hale will take the stage at noon and shut down slightly before the eclipse. And then immediately after we're going to party on with Meredith Crawford in the Mean Streak.

I know some of y'all saw in my note from way early this morning. In the light of a new day, I'm not changing my mind.

No admission charge, y'all just come on out. It looks like it's going to be a great day at least until the eclipse.

Donations, however will be gratefully accepted. And yes I am wearing a loud Hawaiian shirt!

Also the great folks from the astronomical society of East Texas are here already and they have set up their telescopes and their viewing stations and it's going to be great. And yes they have glasses for sale.
