Sunshine Festival runs on the generosity and talent of our community, and this year that generosity showed up everywhere.

We offer our deepest thanks to the businesses who backed us: Beanalog, Enchanted Circle Auto Lock and Key, Capos Red River, The Vault, Swan Realty, J&L Powersports, Lacy’s Lamb & Co., and Claire Cote Fine Arts. You gave land, gear, muscle, and belief when it counted.

To our performers: Fritz Davis, John Vigil , Luisa Houseworks aka DJ Luisa , DJ Ray, RyeDeer , Iriebellion , and Lady’s Mantle thank you for filling the valley with sound from morning sets through to the evening dance party.

To our workshop hosts: Claire Cote, who led cyanotype and paintbrush making, Questa Bees on the honeybees, Dr. Salmasi from NMSU-Alcalde Sustainable Agriculture Science Center teaching us about saffron red gold - and to every maker, builder, and guide who shared a craft: you sent people home having made something with their own hands.

And to the volunteers and neighbors who came by and visited with us: this festival belongs to you.

The 2nd Annual Sunshine Festival rises again in Sunshine Valley this Labor Day weekend - and we built it for you.

🎶 Two days of live music under the open sky.
🏵 Hands-on workshops.
🖌 Cyanotype and paintbrushmaking.
🐝 Bees, saffron, rainwater.
👩‍🎤 Dance party after dark
🌟 Stargazing when the valley goes quiet.

This is high-desert culture made by the people who live it. Come make something. Come hear something. Come find your people.

Questa Bees 🐝 Joins the Sunshine Festival [Sat., Sept. 5]

Questa Bees presents Introduction to Honeybees at 10 AM Saturday at Sunshine Festival. They'll bring a real, working hive and walk you through how honeybees live and work within the hive. Sounds simple—but trust us, there's a lot to talk about! They're also bringing their observation hive, so everyone can watch the girls at work up close.
Adobe brickmaking steps aside. The bees take the stage. 💛😉
