DESSERT OF THE WEEK — BEN HAS OFFICIALLY DECLARED WAR ON MY WAISTLINE!

Apparently, Ben has decided that my long-term future involves being fattened up like a Christmas ham, because he went and hit ANOTHER grand slam in the kitchen.

This week's masterpiece? HOMEMADE STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE BREAD PUDDING!

I'm starting to think Ben isn't actually our chef. He's a farmer, and I'm the livestock. At this rate, he'll have me rubbed down with brown sugar, wrapped in foil, and ready for the oven by Christmas Eve.

And the worst part? IT'S SO GOOD I CAN'T EVEN BE MAD ABOUT IT!

I'd love to show you a picture of this masterpiece, but apparently I have the self-control of a raccoon in a dumpster. I ate the entire thing before it even occurred to me to take a picture. So you're just going to have to trust me on this one.

Seriously, this stuff should come with a warning label and a pair of stretchy pants.

Alright, Pueblo West… we need to settle something. BEANS DO NOT BELONG IN TEXAS CHILI. There, we said it. And we're not taking it back.

We've know some folks put beans in their chili. We've even heard rumors of people putting cinnamon, peanut butter, chocolate, and other questionable ingredients in there. At what point do we stop calling it chili and start calling it a science experiment?

So tell us… what's the CRAZIEST thing you've ever seen someone put in chili? We're ready for the comments. And yes, we're judging.

The next couple of weeks at Copper River are packed with LIVE MUSIC, and every show is FREE TO ATTEND!

Atomic Fireballs are kicking off two back-to-back Wednesday Dance Nights! Line dance lessons with Janice Parker start at 5 PM, followed by live music at 6:30 PM!

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17
EXIT 101 takes the stage at 7 PM! Come enjoy a Saturday night of great live music with NO COVER!

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 21
Atomic Fireballs return for another Wednesday Dance Night! Lessons at 5 PM and live music at 6:30 PM!

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24
We're bringing a little Texas to Colorado! Texas Country artist Cole Phillips (Full Band), along with special guest Drew Moreland, will be taking the Copper River stage at 7 PM! If you love authentic Texas Country and Red Dirt music, this is a show you won't want to miss!
