The Giles Beef Production & Management Contest gives Mayes County Fair beef exhibitors the opportunity to put their livestock knowledge to the test while competing for scholarships and a commercial heifer.

Participants complete a written exam over beef production and management, with top scorers advancing to an interview.

Thanks to the generosity of Tom Giles, the program awards $8,000 in scholarships plus a quality commercial heifer to deserving 4-H and FFA members.

🎓 2026 Scholarship Recipients 🎓

Since 2009, the Mayes County Fair Premium Auction Corporation, in partnership with Rogers State University, has proudly awarded scholarships each year to graduating Mayes County seniors who have exhibited at the Mayes County Fair.

Congratulations to our 2026 scholarship recipients: Callie Shirley, John Riley Ramsey, Kaylee Holt, and Madilyn Moore! 🎉
