Provincetown Portuguese Festival The 3 day event welcomes people from around the world who come to Provincetown to celebrate Portuguese Heritage & Culture.

There’s live music, dancing, parades, incredible food, and much more. The Blessing Of The Fleet includes a procession to MacMillan Wharf where Portuguese Dancers entertain the crowd before the colorful ceremony. Boats decked out in their finest line up to receive the blessing for a safe & prosperous year. With over 30 mostly free activities, there is something for everyone to enjoy! Nearly 100 vol

unteers are led by a Festival Team that includes more than 3 generations of Provincetown Portuguese history. Watch for details on our page and Journals.

Today marks the beginning of a beautiful month-long celebration dedicated to honoring the rich history, vibrant culture, and incredible contributions of Portuguese and Portuguese-American communities worldwide!

From the dramatic coastlines of Portugal to the tight-knit communities across the globe, Portuguese heritage has shaped the world through art, language, exploration, and unforgettable traditions.

✨ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵:
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: Traditional folklore music (Fado), beautiful azulejos (blue ceramic tiles), and the iconic Galo de Barcelos (Rooster of Barcelos).

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 & 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁: Honoring the profound global legacy of Portuguese immigrants and their descendants.

𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Who can resist a warm pastel de nata? 🍮

𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 (𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵): A special day marking the legacy of Portugal’s national poet, Luís de Camões (Dia de Camões, de Portugal e das Comunidades Portuguesas).
