Stahancyk House has a couple of announcements we would like to share:

Fall has arrived in Prineville, bringing all the cozy-season favorites: comfy sweaters, warm apple c***r, pumpkins, fall spices, and the holidays just around the corner. It’s the perfect time to plan a family gathering—or get creative for Halloween! Stahancyk House offers a great cozy space for family gatherings and fun events also lodging for out-of-town guest/family members. Check out our website at www.stahancykhouse.com

We’re also excited that the Stahancyk House will be part of this year’s Candy Crawl. We can’t wait to see all the amazing costumes (and maybe get a little spooked!) as we hand out treats.

And, as promised, our followers-only garage sale is happening next weekend! Keep an eye on our page—we’ll share more details next week. 🎃🍂

Question for fellow innkeepers:

How do you encourage guests to leave reviews on Google or Yelp when many of them don’t have accounts or aren’t active on those platforms? Have you found a polite, effective way to ask—or another approach that works well? I’d love to hear what’s worked for you!

Jody’s hoping to take a little piece of Prineville back to the Coast—and by “little piece,” she means about 30 pounds of locally grown medium russet baking potatoes! 🥔😄

She’d love to share them with her friends, and we could use your help! Know a local grower or a good place to find some? Please let us know. Let’s get these potatoes coast-bound! 🚗🥔

Taken-Sun Beam is brighting up one lucky followers day. But no worries the are more where she came from. Stay tuned.

☀️ A little sunshine to brighten your day! 🧸

Yes, we’re still cleaning out Jody’s storage sheds and getting ready for our fall sale—coming up before our team member Christine makes her big move back to Maine. More details soon!

In the meantime, we found a treasure we could BEARLY wait to share: this lovely Steiff bear named Sun Beam. With an estimated eBay value of around $45, we thought she’d be the perfect little send-off to summer—and a sweet way to bring some sunshine to one of our followers as the days get shorter.
Sun Beam goes to the first follower to message us and pay just $10! 🌞🐻

Stahancyk House would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the firefighters and crew for the countless hours of hard work they have devoted to helping and protecting our community.

It has been our pleasure to host such a wonderful group. As the innkeeper, I have witnessed firsthand the long hours they put in and the dedication they show while fighting for our community. I personally appreciate everything they do.

We are honored to welcome these brave men and women anytime. After a long, demanding day, it is comforting to know they have a place to shower, rest, sleep peacefully, and enjoy a little something for breakfast each morning.

We currently have one room and two Airbnb units available for anyone in need of lodging. Please visit www.stahancykhouse.com

With sincere gratitude,
Christine, Innkeeper
