FAQ Friday! Some handy tips for camp parents, as you prepare for Summer camp.
Today's question: What's the best way to pack? How much storage is under the bunks?

You can pack your camper in whatever way is best for you - duffel bags, suitcases, or totes. Storage space under the bunks is 18 ¼" high, with plenty of space for most storage. Please make sure all of your camper's items are marked with their name, to avoid lost & found.

More FAQ Fridays! Some handy tips for camp parentsas you prepare for Summer camp.

Today's question: Can I send a care package for my camper?

We know it's tempting to send a package full of snacks & toys for your camper. But we encourage families to stick to a simple card or letter, for a few reasons:

1. A week of camp is already a huge gift to your child, and they love a simple card from home.
2. Animals and bugs love snacks at camp - so snacks cannot be kept in cabins.
3. Campers get to visit our Canteen (camp store) each day for snacks, drinks, and buy a Camp shirt or souvenir. You can fund their Canteen account and talk to them about it before Camp starts, empowering them to buy a small souvenir that will forever remind them of their Camp experience.

FAQ Friday! Some handy tips for camp parents, as you prepare for Summer camp.
Today’s question: What time is check-in?

Parents have a document with all of the check-in/out details in your Parent Account online. HOWEVER, we ask that parents NOT arrive before the start time. We open right on time, and if you arrive early, you will be sitting in a hot car in the check-in line. If you arrive 15-20 min AFTER the start time, you’re likely to roll right through without any wait.

Today's question: What is this "Canteen" thing I see on the paperwork?

Canteen is our term for Camp Store. Campers have the opportunity to visit Canteen each day. When you deposit funds into your camper's Canteen account before camp, they can purchase snacks & drinks, or Camp Carson shirts, stickers, stuffies, water bottles, & other souvenirs.

You can add funds to your camper's Canteen in your Parent Account online, BEFORE you arrive at Camp.

Today's question: What is this "Canteen" thing I see on the paperwork?

Canteen is our term for Camp Store. Campers have the opportunity to visit Canteen each day. If you deposit funds into your camper's Canteen account before camp, they can purchase snacks & drinks, or Camp Carson shirts, stickers, stuffies, water bottles, & other souvenirs. Below are images of a few souvenirs available in Canteen.

You can add Canteen funds to your camper’s account online BEFORE you arrive at camp, in your Parent Account.
