Grief is a very real part of life and learning how to move through it is critical - community helps.
Raising Aniya is a coming of age film about a lot of things - a young woman processing trauma and unearthing herself, environmnetal justice and so much more..
Our reflection leader, Dr. Joy Barnes Johnson dedicated this event to a beloved community community member, Olive Giles who shared her talent, wisdom, compassion and heart with so many in a number of roles - school counselor, and amazing, powerful singer to name two.
This special screening was a place where we could grieve and build resilience together.
