Several former products of the Girls Got Game Shootout have received honors this high school season.

Hometown girls Taylor Quiram, Brynn Hieronymus, Grace May, Erika Sorenson and Abby Jensen, all seniors at Princeton HS, received honors from the Bureau County Republican. Taylor will be continuing her career at IVCC.

Girls named to the QC Times All-Area team include Shae Hanrahan (Player of Year), Lauren Lodico, Katelyn Oleson and Molly Sharp, all seniors at Riverdale; Liz Fish, senior at Fulton. Hanrahan was named Second Team IBCA 2A All-State.

Riverdale finished undefeated and ranked No. 1 in Class 2A.

In closing, the old Shootout director must say it was a bitter-sweet weekend having five of our 8th-grade girls away on the class trip to DC that was postponed by two days due to the winter storm and took them out of action. Great to have Taylor Quiram, Abby Jensen and Emma Zelenik from our longtime shootout gang (and great to have Kaylee Cole, Kylie Ebner and J'Kira Wolbrecht join us this year), but we sured missed Erika Sorenson, Addison Grove, Grace May, Olivia Eiken and my gal Brynn Hieronymus. Best of luck to your girls up at the high school. Going to real miss you, but know you're going to do great things! Coach!
