I know we’ve talked about this briefly before, but I’d like to hear from everyone who attended Prater in the past what would you like to see different for 2026? How can we improve the ride? How can we improve the trails? What are your thoughts on awards? After all, it’s your ride I just manage it.

We’re Sanctioned!!!
This year we’re gonna change things up again. I’m looking at new trail. We’re gonna keep the LD as a 25 instead of 30.. We will have an intro ride. I’m not sure of the mileage on that one just yet.
Can’t wait to see everyone there !

12/13/2025

Although I have not received sanction confirmation email, we have a scheduled date of September 12, 2026.

Awards: I’m thinking for next year for top 10 we may do a White Elephant theme. There will be 10 wrapped items. Those who top 10 can pick an item, after the top 10 have been named you have 5 minutes to steal/trade. Only one steal allowed..
Thoughts?

I have a series of questions for those who came to this year‘s Prater. The questions will be in separate posts as to not get lost in comments.

I’m always looking to improve the ride. I am limited in some areas others not so much.
The trail system is fairly limited. This year, Shelly ran the trail differently than I have done it in the past. So my question is. Did you guys like it better with less road riding? How did you feel about the trail?
If you had a junior, would you feel comfortable with them riding the trail as it was this year?
Should we keep the same trail for next year?
There’s nothing we can do about the rocks. There are many dirt bikes side-by-side that go up there. We pulled ribbons on Thursday and saw the bridges are dilapidated. That’s gonna need to be fixed before next year’s ride.
I look forward to hearing everyone’s comments thank you so much .
