Birmingham, Alabama's Taylor Hollingsworth has always resisted easy categorization. Asked to define his music, he struggled – a little bit folk, a touch of blues, a dash of rock 'n' roll, but not quite fitting neatly into any single box. Eventually, he coined the phrase “Folk n’ Roll” to describe his sound. Fans of JJ Cale, Mississippi John Hurt, Chuck Berry, Richard Thompson, Jonathan Richman, and John Prine will find much delight in Hollingsworth's blend of timeless influences.🤘🏻🎸

Hollingsworth has worked as a hired gun playing guitar with various artists on the road (most notably with Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band). Most recently, he's been named the "Winner," in the prestigious International Songwriting Competition, taking 1st place in the Americana Genre. 🥇🎶

You can catch him here for free this Wednesday at 8PM ‼️🎤

Tomorrow just got a whole lot sweeter, because The Local Honeys w/ Grace Rogers are set to perform at The Star City Strand 🤩🍯

The doors open @ 7 PM 🚪
Music starts @ 8 PM 🎶
Lounge closes @ 11 PM 🍷

As the name suggests, The Local Honeys are local to Eastern Kentucky and their music heavily reflects the region! 🐎🔵

The group is best known for their Appalachian storytelling, tight harmonies, and a sound described as “Old-Time crossed with soul, rock, and modern influences!” This works to create a sound that’s new, yet true to the mountains, and sweeter than honey! 😉🍯🐝

Don’t miss out❗️
