Congratulations to the Rib Lake team on winning this year’s Buccaneers’ Alumni Tournament. There were a lot of competitive and fun games played this year. Thank you to every team that participated and I hope to see you all there next year. More importantly, we were able to raise a good amount of money for a good cause. Thank you to the spectators that showed up to make it successful.

I want to thank everyone who volunteered their time to run concessions, run book and clock, and officiate. It’s hard to get volunteers and I very much appreciate the help we did get. Also thank you to Northwoods Dentistry and Fidelity Insurance for their support and for donating money for concessions.

I hope to do this tournament next year around this time again and hope to see it grow. Either way it was a blast and thank you all.

Please bring cash as concessions will be available and more importantly we will be having a 50/50 raffle for the Donnie and Briana Anderson Family. Their son, Bennett, has been having seizures since September of 2023. He was diagnosed with a rare chronic progressive neurological disorder called Rasmussen's Encephalitis. The proceeds from the drawing and 3-point contest will go to help this family.

The 2nd Annual Buccaneers' Alumni Basketball Tournament will be this Saturday. Each team will play two games for seeding before a break/3-point contest. There will then be a single elimination bracket. The first games will begin at 8:00 with about a 15 minute break between games. A schedule of the games is listed below with approximate game times.

We are a little over a week away from the tournament. We have seven teams signed up currently. I'm working on a format and schedule and will post that once I have it completed. If there is another team that would still like to participate, please contact me as soon as possible as having 8 teams would be easier to set up. Also if anyone would like to volunteer their time to help ref or work book/clock, I would greatly appreciate it. Just a reminder, all proceeds go directly to the Prentice Basketball program.

We are excited to announce the 2nd Annual Buccaneers' Alumni Basketball Tournament will be held on April 27, 2024. We had a great tournament last year and are hoping to expand the number of teams this year. The tournament is a great fundraiser for the Prentice Boys Basketball team while also allowing family and fans to watch past alumni compete. Any team is able to participate as long as the team consists of alumni from the same High School. All teams will be guaranteed 3 games. All games will be 5on5 and follow NFHS rules with a 20 minute running clock. The tournament format will be determined depending on the number of teams. Entry fee will be $150 per team. Congratulations to all competitors and thanks to all of you who helped put the day on. Lots of fun and a good chunk of money raised for the basketball team. Special thanks to Fidelity Insurance and Northwoods Dentistry for donating the food and to Tyler Enders for organizing and running the tournament.
