We have all been keeping a close eye on the weather forecasts for storms this afternoon and evening. At this time, with advisement from our administration team, we are still planning to go ahead with tonight's 7pm performance of Hadestown: Teen Edition. It is currently looking like the severe weather threat will be past our area by 5pm, and we have plans in place for our cast, crew, and production staff to remain safe in the building.

If the weather takes a turn for the worse, or is severe for longer than anticipated, we will send an update via email, and post to all of the relevant social media pages. We may cancel or delay the start of the performance to accomidate.

We do have safety plans and protocols for dealing with severe weather. This is a sturdy concrete building and we will move to interior rooms if need be. Our house manager and ushers will be briefed on safety protocols before the performance so we can act quickly in the event of a tornado warning.

If you do not feel comfortable traveling with the weather, we are happy to exchange tickets to another performance. Simply email [email protected] requesting an exchange.

Thank you, and stay safe!

Today, after extensive conversations with Mr. Wright, from the perspective of the Superintendent and a parent, he and his team made the decision that the sleet that is currently falling, and scheduled to fall for the rest of the day, will not allow us to travel safely to and from the space for today's event.

We will be cancelling today's show.

Ticket Refunds - We will fully refund all purchased tickets upon request to [email protected]. The deadline for refund requests will be Wednesday, March 18th, at noon. If you are not interested in a refund, and would like your purchased ticket to be a donation to the program, no action is necessary, and we thank you.

$1.88 per person.

That's the average of what states invested in the arts this year. But averages hide a lot.

In the Midwest, the real numbers range from $0.20 to $7.85, including 1 in the nation (Minnesota) and 48 (Wisconsin).

Nationally, legislative appropriations to state arts agencies totaled $646 million in FY2026, a 5.9% decrease from last year.

And most concerning, population growth and inflation have reduced the real value of arts support over 25 years.

When converted to 2001 dollars, FY2026’s per capita funding of $1.88 equals just $1.04. Compared to $1.57 in 2001, that means a real decline of 34%.
