Due to the heartbreaking news of our beloved Vice-President, Steve Glazebrook, unexpected passing yesterday the Fairgrounds is closed for the weekend. Therefore, the Powhatan Festival of Lights presented by Christmas Décor of Virginia is cancelled. Please contact them directly.
The Fair Association presented a $500 donation to each charity (Backpacks of Love, Christmas Mother, Powhatan Free Clinic, and VCU Medical Center). Giving to others is what Steve loved the most. Please consider making a donation to these organizations in his memory. His death leaves a tremendous legacy of service to the community and big shoes to fill, as he dedicated countless hours to volunteering and supporting charities. A void will remain forever in the lives he touched. He will be sorely missed.
