Our UPAC Through the Decades Free Films Series kicks off this Thursday with Laurel and Hardy’s The Finishing Touch (1928) and Buster Keaton’s The Cameraman (1928) on September 10th at 7:30 PM. The silent double bill features live organ accompaniment by Juan Cardona, Jr., and a special introduction at intermission by Carol Bradshaw in honor of Buster Keaton’s 130th Birthday.
Carol Bradshaw is a local historian and filmmaker specializing in the lives of performers from the "Golden Age" of theater. She maintains a large archive of legendary Vaudeville artists such as Buster Keaton and Joey Faye, contributing greatly to the preservation of rare theatrical photographs, playbills, and stories that would otherwise be lost. Carol is passionate about preserving Vaudeville, Burlesque, and early Film History through intergenerational sharing, and is excited to provide more context about Buster Keaton and the making of The Cameraman with the UPAC community.
