We sat down with Father Dimitri over a plate of Bratskellar’s famous hot buffalo wings to ask him our burning questions about the Greek Festival.

What’s the most sinful thing he’s witnessed at the Greek Festival?
Jesus turned water into wine, would he be working the bar at the festival or would he be on the dance floor?

Join us June 19th & 20th at the Greek Church in Portsmouth, NH right next to PHS for a fun-packed weekend of music, dancing, performances, shopping, free kids shows & activities, and of course delicious authentic Greek food.

Stay all day or stop by for a baklava, Greek coffee, and a takeout. Father Dimitri recommends the pastitsio. 💙🧿🇬🇷

For those who grew up in Portsmouth, this one's for you.
49 years of Portsmouth summers, this Portsmouth tradition lives on. We've been a part of this city since 1931.

Greek food made by our yiayias, music, dancing under the tent, kids laughing, friends and family together on a summer day; this community has kept it going entirely volunteer run, entirely from the heart.

We hope you'll come be part of it this year. Greek or not, new to town or born here, we want you to come celebrate with us.

Skip the workout class. This is much more fun, and it's free!
Never tried Greek dancing before? That's the point. Most dances are done in a circle holding hands with just a few simple steps.

Jump in line and follow along, and by the end of the night you'll be the one dragging your friends onto the floor too. Greek dance lessons with Vassili both nights at 8pm. No experience needed.

Come for the music and dancing, stay for the authentic Greek food and pastries, Greek coffee, shopping, bar, live performances, kids shows and activities, & more!

Greeks invented everything, even shopping.

The Greek Festival isn't just food and dancing. There's a whole marketplace worth exploring. Every year I leave with something new.

Here's what I always buy:

Silver & gold jewelry.
Gorgeous Greek inspired pieces, evil eyes, cross necklaces, coin pendants. The kind of stuff you can't find in stores here because it comes straight from Greece. Taste and Art of Greece

Art.
local artists sell original works made in Greece. I bought a framed lemon photograph 2 years ago that's hanging on my wall and I also bought more last year to accompany it.

Clothes.
Handmade and unique pieces you won't find anywhere else. Great for summer nights out. Arsenia’s Arts

Trinkets.
Evil eyes, worry beads, little things that make great gifts or look really good at home.

Greek imports.
olive oil, dolmades, honey, cheese, stuff to keep me going after the festival is over.

Greeks invented the agora aka the worlds first marketplace, so shopping is part of our culture and traditions :P

Come experience Greek tradition!!
