As you know TRCI VP Lew Steingold became a SK a few of months ago. An estate sale is planned at his house this weekend, May 3, 4, 5, starting at 9:00 am and ending at 3:00 pm each day. The address is 1008 Crabbers Cove Lane, Va Beach, 23452. This road is off of Little Neck Rd about two miles north of the Home Depot on VA Beach Blvd.



This is the active inventory as of May 1st. It is not a complete list of all the stuff that is there. It represents only the major items that are exposed. There are many transceivers, a few amps, lots of power supplies, tons of MFJ stuff and boxes and boxes of parts etc. The Guiding Light Estate Sales is handling the event. They have put prices on many items. The main station and three MFJ amps were sold previously. Note that prices can be flexible especially on Saturday and Sunday.

Hampton Road Hams:

There is a lot of used equipment for sale in the area right now. K4NTO has the excess VBARC equipment, KN4KL has WA4TMJ's equipment and there are a few other items for sale by others. So lets start off with one not mnetioned.

This is the Ed Belton K4LUM estate. All of this and more is available this weekend at an estate sale at his residence. The Sale will be from 9 to 4 both days of all items in the house. The address is 4625 Thoroughood Drive in Virginia Beach. This is off North Indenpendence and Pleasure House Rd. All equipment and parts has a price but consider it all negotiable. If you are into building there are many multi drawer cabinets full of parts, one dedicated to resistors, one to capacitors etc. She will sale the entire cabinet for 10 or 15 bucks. The sale is being handled by Estate Sales of Virginia.

The VB Hamfest is now called the Tidewater Radio Convention. It will be held on September 11th, 2021 at The Ambassador Club in Portsmouth, VA. There will be outside tailgating, inside tables and a couple of Ham Dealers on hand. Admission is $10 at the door. Tailgating is $5 for sales and inside tables are $25. Come on down!

As with many Hamfests it appears that the VA Beach Hamfest for 2020 will be eliminated for this year due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. We hope to see everyone at the event in September of 2021.

Major changes coming to the Virginia Beach Hamfest. Moving it to a new city and will probably have a new name. More will be posted as the details are firmed up.
