Double Hazy IPA brewed with nearly 20 lbs per bbl of Fresh Citra hops boosted up even further with Citra Dynaboost, Citra Cryo & Citra T-90 for good measure.

OSU Fresh Hop Research Beers tapping this Tuesday 9/23 at the Fresh Hop Pop-Up Beer Fest.

Drink Beer For Science from 4-6pm with Dr. Tom Shellhammer of Oregon State University and Beer Bible author and Celebrate Oregon Beer director Jeff Alworth.

This event is part of a new study happening this harvest season looking into the chemical and sensory elements of fresh hops. Oregon breweries are helping out by making two identical versions of a beer, with one difference. One of their beers will use fresh hops, the other freshly-dried hops picked from the same field. The breweries and their beers include Breakside Wanderjack (fresh hop Strata as a dry-hop addition) 7.0%; Block 15 Fresh² (fresh hop Strata as a whirlpool addition) 6.7%; and Deschutes Independence Study (fresh hop Centennial as a whirlpool addition), 6.5%. Customers will take part in this study by filling out a 5-minute, 15-question survey on their phones.
