Temple Theatre Historic Temple Theatre In 1937, The Temple Theatre opened in a new brick building in downtown Portland, Tennessee. (615)210-9166 [email protected].

It was constructed in the previous location of the Capitol Theater which had been destroyed by fire. The owners were Walter Moore and Charlie Green. to purchase and restore the old theatre building. The Foundation is nonprofit and completely dependent on donations and grants. The first goal is to raise enough money to purchase the building.
