2021 Update: While we are starting to see a shift back to normal-ish the safest option for our community at this time is to cancel this year's Portland Boulder Rally. We are bummed to make this call but hope that means we can come back stronger and better in 2022!

Thank you for continuing to mask up, social distance, and get vaccinated if you can. Hope to see you all next year!

Thanks for joining us as we took a trip back in time to relive all the excitement + fun the Portland Boulder Rally has brought us over the years.

Every year we learned something new and found ways to push our comp. And we couldn't have done it all without your constant stoke + support!

In 2017 we threw it back to the 80s with an 8-bit game theme.

Climbers of all levels tried to beat their personal high scores while spectators cheered them on from the sidelines! Kyra Condie and Sean Bailey caught the most gold coins and topped the podiums.

Since day 1, the Portland Boulder Rally has been more than a competition. It's a gathering of our community, a festival full of local vendors and epic sponsors, and an event where climbers of all levels can push themselves.

Just 5 years ago we were getting ready to host the 2015 Portland Boulder Rally!

Nathaniel Coleman defeated two-time champ, Jimmy Webb in Open Finals and first-time Rally competitor, Kyra Condie took first place in the Women's Open!

We had delicious, local food carts, epic sponsors, and energetic spectators. Plus, we had an all star pro-lineup including Kai Lightner who recently started Climbing For Change - a non-profit that is helping to fund programs + organizations that promote diversity + inclusion in the climbing community. Year 4 we outgrew The Circuit NE!

In 2014 we made the move to the newly opened The Circuit Bouldering Gym in Tigard. Ashima Shiraishi became the youngest athlete to place in Open Finals, and competed for one of the first times in history against Alex Puccio. Even Ashima's old coach, Obe Carrion joined us, competing in the Masters Category.

For 9 years, the Portland Boulder Rally has provided a fun, family-friendly event that challenges and inspires climbers of all ages.

We love seeing youth competitors from across the country give it there all on the 250+ boulder problems in the morning and then coming back to watch the pros battle it out in Finals.
