Big update: Fuji to Hood just announced additional beverage options wine, saké, spirits, and cocktails at the 2026 festival in Portland. Also our Tabemono (食べ物) options featuring over a dozen chefs, restaurants, kitchens, and cafes. In addition to all the amazing Japanese food, we are expanding our Ichiba (市場) style marketplace of craft vendors featuring 20 different arts, crafts, local business, and organizations. And last but not least performances fromTaiko drummers, Kendo, Judo, and Sumo dojos.

At the 2026 World Beer Cup Japanese breweries won 12 medals, 2nd only to the U.S.! Over the past decade Japan has won 118 medals at the world's most prestigious beer competition.

This year the Fuji to Hood Festival is proud to bring 25 of the best breweries and cideries from Japan to Portland, Oregon on July 17th and 18th where they have collaborated with 25 Oregon brewers and cidermakers on original creations celebrating the best of two cultures coming together over craft and community.

Tickets are on sale, vendors, music, arts and entertainment are being booked, and we are now seeking more volunteers and sponsors.

With just 5 more months until Fuji to Hood's return to Portland we are now accepting vendor applications for the creative Japanese-style marketplace that accompanies all the craft beer, food, drinks, music and performance.

RIP to a legend. Earlier this year Rogue Ales & Spirits joined us for Hood to Fuji in Tokyo, brewing a collaboration beer with Isekadoya for our festival

Last week we learned that Rogue was shutting down, possibly for good. Rogue is an iconic brewery both in the U.S. and in Japan. In 2003 they launched a Signature Series of collaborations with acclaimed chef Iron Chef Morimoto with innovative beers like Morimoto Soba Ale, Black Obi Soba Ale, and the Morimoto Imperial Pilsner.

For Hood to Fujio_fuji the Isekadoya Brewery made a fun version of Rogue's classic Dead Guy ale called Dead Cat Pacific Northwest IPA. This 7% abv, piney, Japan-exclusive beer used the same PacMan Yeast that Dead Guy Ale is famous for.

If anyone still has any of these cans (empty or full) please save them in memory of a true pioneer and lets raise a toast in honor of Rogue!
