Embrace Festival is an international gathering of innovative and awake visionaries, leaders, teachers, artists, musicians and those that yearn to share knowledge and wisdom, learn from each other, celebrate, be inspired, and find the tools needed to create and enliven local movements within our communities. Together we explore Sacred Oneness, Christ Consciousness, Buddha Nature, Eco-Spirituality,

social justice and the way of universal and personal transformation that honors the Divine in all. Embrace Festival is a co-creation of a web like village, where each individual is encouraged to bring their own unique gifts, skills, wisdom, and knowledge to share. We are interfaith, inter spiritual, non-denominational and non-dogmatic. We embrace all people, on all walks, who desire and commit to walk in Sacred Communion with each other and the Earth.

Q: What Do Progressive Christians Mean by “God?” Answered by Co-Executive Director Rev. Dr. Caleb J Lines

06/12/2021

“Our toddlers speak of plants and animals as if they were people, extending to them self and intention and compassion—until we teach them not to. We quickly retrain them and make them forget. When we tell them that the tree is not a who, but an it, we make that maple an object; we put a barrier between us, absolving ourselves of moral responsibility and opening the door to exploitation.”
– Robin Wall Kimmerer

Portland! The creators of Embrace are starting a new, local Church of the Wild. You can find us on Instagram

We are a new start up, non-denominational, interspiritual church. In January, we will be meeting weekly somewhere in or close to Portland, in nature. Our gatherings will include time in nature for personal contemplation, mindful walking, circle time, music, sacred stories and sacred texts, meditation, prayer, and time to share and connect in conversation.

We will gather under old growth trees, beside rivers, in the ashes, observing new life, restoring our relationship with the land and the creatures of our watershed as sacred practice. We are radically inclusive. Wild Church PDX is Open to ALL. Preachers include blue jays and flowing rivers, waterfalls and bright green lichen, pines and firs, along with some of their human friends. Readings come from the Hebrew Bible, the New Testament, as well as the works of mystics, poets, visionaries...and one another.

Wild Church PDX will be led by Revs. Jessica M Shine and Deshna Charron Shine

“Church, to us, is a place where Mystery is experienced, not explained.”
