This weekend, we invite you to join us in something deeply meaningful.
The Vanport Mosaic Festival is more than an event—it’s a collective act of remembrance, healing & truth-telling. It’s about honoring the lives forever changed by the 1942 incarceration of Japanese Americans at the Portland Assembly Center (now known as Halls A, B & C of the Portland Expo Center). It’s about the vibrant community of Vanport—once Oregon’s second-largest city—washed away in a single day, and the stories that still endure.
We are proud to host this powerful festival that brings together memory-keepers, artists, descendants & neighbors to say: we remember. we reflect. we grow.
History lives here. And so does resilience ✨
