Tannenschlag

Tannenschlag Our motto: The best things in life aren't things. TANNENSCHLAG GREETINGS TO YOU! WHEN & HOW

Tannenschlag is always celebrated on the Friday AFTER Black Friday.

Born of whimsy and fueled by tradition, Tannenschlag is an annual celebration that honors friendship and gives thanks to delivery drivers for their hard work during the busy holidays. Literally, to whip or beat the fir tree, Tannenschlag is a holiday to celebrate friendships over material goods, as well as to thank our delivery drivers for their hard work this time of year. The best things in life

are not things, and Tannenschlag encourages us to carry this spirit into our relationships and purchasing decisions through the holiday season. December 1, 2023 and December 6, 2024. It is customary to wear hues of pink and orange, as well as neckwear such as a scarf or cravat. TANNENSCHLAG TRADITIONS

DANKEINKAUFEN: Give gifts of thanks to your mail carrier and delivery drivers who are on the front lines of Black Friday’s retail bacchanal. KRAPPENGEBEN: Purify your home by donating winter clothes, decorations and other items that can be put to immediate seasonal use. KARTONSPIEL: games of competitive stacking and gift wrapping awkward packaging. DIE MÜLLISTE: whoever has the longest shopping receipt wins a prize.
