This past Christmas we decided to take up donations and give the money to Oak Grove Church in which it will be used for “Samaritains Purse” ministry for next Christmas. Our daughter Kensley has been fixing shoeboxes for Samaritains purse the last few years. She has become real passionate about this project and its ministry and this year she got our Church involved also. She is leading the project with getting items for the shoe boxes and our church helps with getting them packed We were able to raise $950.00 for this years Samaritans Purse. We want to Thank each and Every one of you who donated money. This will help get the shoe boxes started for the kids around the world. Alot of these kids dont have anything so the boxes help provide-some of the much needed neccessities along with a small bible or bible workbook and some toys.
One of the many stories that we heard about was that this little 8yr old girls favorite item she received in the shoebox was a little flashlight because it meant that when the sirens went off alerting danger she didnt have to go to the basement in the dark anymore. Sometimes we take for granted the luxeries we have compared-to many out there who have nothing. This is what Gods ministry is all about. Reaching the children and their families and helping show Gods love to those who have nothing.
