Y'all get ready to rock the block on Saturday, March 28th from 11:00 until 4:00 at our 7th Annual Bridges Block Party - Shrimp and Grits Cook-off presented by Ameris Bank. Y'all come join us for an adventure from sea to table for the 8th Annual Bridges Block Party ~ Shrimp and Grits Cook-off Saturday, March 27th in Port Royal at the Community Beer Garden from 5:00-9:00 PM (located by The Sands). T

he event will feature local chefs presenting their unique recipe of the low country classic shrimp and grits. Also, beer and wine to purchase. If shrimp and grits aren’t your thing, Time to Eat food truck will be there with all kinds of yummy menu items. Our Story

Well, what sums up the low country better than a warm bowl of shrimp and grits? Now add 4,000 plus of your closest friends, our nearly picture perfect weather and you have all of the ingredients for the best street festival in town, Bridges Block Party featuring Shrimp and Grits Cook-off. This annual fundraising event features a shrimp and grits cook-off where local Chefs compete for the People’s Choice award for best recipe. The event is produced by Bridges Prep Parent Teacher Organization and started in 2014. Bridges Block Party is held on Paris Avenue in the old village of Port Royal. The day is dedicated to celebrating the complex flavors and variations of this low country classic, shrimp and grits, while also taking time to bring our community together as we enjoy each delectable bite. Don’t worry, if shrimp and grits are not your thing, there is plenty to tempt your taste buds whether you have a hankering for some food truck cuisine or need to wet your whistle with cold beer, you will find plenty of menu items to chose from. Don’t forget to check out our unique artisans selling their wares, take a spin the Kids Zone and hum along with the band center stage - there is something for everyone! So be sure to grab your family and friends, bring your appetite and join us on Paris Avenue for Bridges Block Party - Shrimp and Grits Cook-off. *General Admission is free. Activities and food/beverages may require tickets and/or cash/credit. All proceeds from this event benefit Bridges Preparatory School.
