Bandon: our final concert is happening this afternoon! 🎶

Join the The Redfish Piano Trio in Bandon at First Presbyterian Church of Bandon as we close out our March tour with an afternoon of beautiful chamber music starting at 3:00 PM, and a special reception after the concert!

Featuring works by Mel Bonis, Frank Martin, and Robert Schumann, this program has been a joy to share across the coast and we'd love to end the tour with you.

Our spring tour kicks off TONIGHT! The Redfish Piano Trio in Port Orford returns to Zion Lutheran Church. Three world-class musicians perform works by Mel Bonis, Frank Martin, and Schumann. 🎻

Andrew is the Principal Cellist of the Las Vegas Philharmonic and has performed at Carnegie Hall. Genevieve has been nominated for a Grammy. Fritz has appeared in major halls around the country including the Kennedy Center, and founded Redfish specifically to bring this caliber of music to our coast.

After tonight, the tour continues:

📍 Bandon — Sunday, March 29

Since its founding in 2021, the Redfish Music Festival has grown into an educational force along the Southern Oregon Coast!

Through our summer fellowship program, mentorship from professional artists, and educational visits to local schools, Redfish is committed to inspiring the next generation and building a vibrant classical music culture on the coast. 🌊🎶

This memory features Redfish students performing the final movement of Mendelssohn’s Octet at the Castaway in Port Orford last summer. This was one of many moments where young musicians share their work with our community.

The music continues this week!

The Redfish Piano Trio (violinist Fritz Gearhart, cellist Andrew Smith, and pianist Genevieve Feiwen Lee ) bring a beautifully-curated chamber program to our coastal communities featuring music by Mel Bonis, Frank Martin, and Robert Schumann.

March Tour Dates:

Looking for an easy date night idea this week? 💕

Composer Robert Schumann (1810–1856) was a quintessential "hopelessly romantic" figure, embodying his era's intensity through passionate music.

Schumann's Piano Trio in F major in particular is the kind of piece that reminds you why you love classical music. He wrote it in 1847, toward the end of his life, yet it's one of his most clear-eyed, tender works.

Hear the Redfish Piano Trio perform along the Southern Oregon Coast live, with Fritz Gearhart on violin, Andrew Smith on cello, Genevieve Feiwen Lee on piano.
