A Midwest premiere from a Michigan filmmaker!!!

For generations, MAD Magazine shaped and warped its readers’ senses of humor and their very outlook on the world around them. From the McCarthy hearings and the Cold War to Taylor Swift and social media, MAD Magazine was there to poke fun at all of it. When We Went MAD! presents the (unauthorized) history of America’s oldest and most influential humor magazine. From MAD’s landmark court case that ensured satire as free speech to its maverick publisher who kept the water cooler filled with white wine, MAD lived its very ethos.

With celebrity interviews from Judd Apatow, Quentin Tarantino, Howie Mandel, Gilbert Gottfried, David Zucker, Bryan Cranston, “Weird Al” Yankovic and a plethora of the people who created MAD, When We Went MAD! is a celebration of MAD, the nutty geniuses behind it, and the indelible impression they left on American culture. Directed by local filmmaker, Alan Bernstein, who will talk about the film from the Redford stage.

Includes the short, “Scourge of the Nation” — a parody of 1950s educational films.

He has started a Kickstarter campaign to move the Film Threat Magazine in a new direction, and continuing on the DVDuesday.

'FREEZER GEEZERS' follows 83 year old coach Ray Tuller and his team - Millenium 75's - from Springfield, MA, as they challenge three other teams from around the world competing in the world's oldest age division, 75 and over, in the annual Snoopy's Senior World Hockey Tournament created by beloved PEANUTS artist Charles Schulz in Santa Rosa, California.

Denver Rochon and Denn Pietro only submitted this film to 3 film festivals but it won "Best in Show" at Texandance and "Audience Choice" at Blue Water. They hope a new audience will love this documentary as much as we do.
