It’s official… the 2026 Al Slonaker Memorial Award goes to…

Dennis Troggio’s 1955 VW Karmann Ghia, built by Type One Restoration, rose above a field of 12 contenders. Nearly four years in the making, this Ghia was fully restored from reshaped panels, restyled fenders, hood, doors, decklid, stretched quarters for wider tires, and endless custom details.

Finished in custom dark green over olive green, with bespoke fasteners and brake rotors machined from solid 90-lb blocks of cast iron, it packs a 2.4-liter air-cooled flat-four with reinforced transmission and limited-slip differential.

Huge congratulations to Dennis Troggio and the Type One Restoration team on this incredible win!

The moment we’ve all been waiting for… the 2026 America’s Most Beautiful Roadster goes to…

Nicole Baird’s 1932 Ford Roadster, built by Squeeg’s Kustoms, rose above eight other AMBR contenders to claim the title and the $12,500 prize, sponsored by ARP Fasteners.

Finished in metallic blue pearl with white scallops, the roadster features paint by Doug Jerger, extensive chrome by Jon Wright & Ogden, polish by Russell’s Custom Polish, a Buick Nailhead V-8 built by Roger Beckman, and an interior Tracy and Terry Weaver at Recovery Room.

Congrats to Nicole Baird and the Squeeg’s Kustoms team! 🏆
