🎡💅🏼 Fair Moms Are Built Different 💅🏼🎡

Fair moms can unload a trailer, braid hair, calm a meltdown, find a missing show stick, and threaten everybody in a 10-minute span. 😌

They run on caffeine, concession stand fries, and pure “don’t test me during fair week” energy. 🚜

Need something?
Ask a fair mom.
Because chances are she’s already got it in the tack box or camper.

Band-aids?
Got ‘em.
Safety pins?
Yep.
Extra boots?
Probably.
The patience to deal with barn drama for 6 straight days?
Barely. 😂

Fair moms are basically unpaid managers, chauffeurs, photographers, livestock assistants, makeup artists, and crisis coordinators… all while sweating to death, running up and down the hill in the August heat.

And let’s be honest —
if fair moms ever went on strike, the entire fair would shut down by noon.

We love all moms but especially those fair moms!

Happy Mothers Day!

IMPORTANT LIVESTOCK INFO!

LONG POST AHEAD! Please read on for COMPLETE tag-in, FairEntry, and poultry order information!

🐃🐄🐖Tag-in Information🐃🐄🐖
Market Livestock Tag-In (Beef Feeders, Dairy Feeders, Market Lambs, Market Hogs, and Market Goats) is THIS Saturday, May 2 from 8 AM to 10 AM at the Meigs County Fairgrounds. Please see the map below to understand how tag-in will be operating. This will be similar to last year! Some reminders:
1. All animals being tagged in must be registered on FairEntry by THIS Thursday, April 30.
2. Members of the same household (per Jr Fair Enrollment Address) can utilize a spare (family) animal. This animal will be tagged in and registered in the same manner as the primary market animal, but a form will be on record to distinguish the exhibitors linked to the animal. PLEASE INDICATE FAMILY ANIMALS ON THE FAIRENTRY REGISTRATION and register THE SAME ANIMAL to ALL EXHIBITORS!
3. Market animals, including cattle, sheep, goats, and hogs, will be tagged with an EID (Electronic ID) tag in one ear. If your animal loses their ear tag, exhibitors must have it re-tagged by bringing the animal to the Fairgrounds the next Senior Fairboard Meeting following the loss. You must notify Amanda Faulk if you plan to bring the animal in order to have tags prepared. The last day to get an animal retagged is the Thursday before fair starts.
4. All cattle must have a halter on at time of tag in and weigh in. Animals will not be tagged until haltered.
5. All market animals must be dehorned (1-inch scur allowed at fair), castrated, and weaned before their respective tag-in date.
6. All lambs and goat MUST have a scrapie tag in their ear or they will not be tagged. Contact Amanda with any questions.
