6 at the Springs 6 hr. 4 mile loop on Waterbrook House Trail in Poland, ME. June 20th 2026. Thank you for everyone who has made the last 2 years so succesful!! One loop. Two loops.

Along the sleepy Route 26 in Western Maine, there lies a place that is world renowned for its magical healing waters. Over the course of 200 years, a small village has grown into a thriving community where the people are just as magical as the water under their feet. This is the town of Poland, Maine. Trail Legs Run Coach and Poland Parks & Rec. invite you to 6 at the Springs, a celebration of Pol

and’s unique small businesses and trails through a running event. Competitors will tour the historically registered rail trail from the mouth of Lower Range Pond to a turnaround in Mechanic Falls before returning to the start line. This flat 4 mile loop will excite the speedster and the casual hiker alike as it passes multiple watersheds and possibly the most scenic beaver pond ever created along a wide, hard-packed trail. As a timed event we will give recognition for all mileage earned. Ten loops. The choice is yours and we hope you come ready to challenge yourself! This course is friendly for both the experienced and new runner/walker of all ages. And when you’re done, enjoy all the amazing products that our local businesses and sponsors offer. Ok guys. We have to get serious for a moment.

We have watched this race grow over the last three years. That makes us happy. The one constant is that half of our signups come in the last three weeks. This also makes us happy.

The problem is that we have set a hard cap of 135 runners. And we are well ahead of our previous registrations with 3 weeks left.

This means there’s a good chance you’ll miss out if you delay. This does not make us happy. We love you all too much.

Hear “I’m bored!” a hundred times before going off to pay crazy prices at a park while also spending a ton of money at McDonalds.

We did not choose our style, hospitality, trail, layout, and date arbitrarily. Instead, we designed this community event in a way that pays homage to so many of the great events in New England while also physically preparing you, the competitor, for the other races on your calendar this year.

At just over 4 miles in length with a centrally positioned (and fully stocked) aid station, we offer ourselves as a low cost training facility for every major race in New England.

Back Cove Ultra? Last Man Standing at Pineland? Hamster Wheel? Ghost Train? White Lake Ultra hangover? New personal best Marathon or 50K time? Just dipping your toes into the trail 5K world or running in general? On a budget this racing season?

That is a yes yes yes to all of the above.

First of all, kudos to my 800th activity! Movement any way you can get it, I guess.

But what is it? Well, we’ve learned that we can’t be everywhere at once on race day. And manual scoring is a huge challenge for a timed event with loops. We are thankful for those who have helped with scoring sheets but unfortunately the RD’s fell short on keeping them straight. So today is a big testing day.

This year we are excited to bring electronic timing! We should have real time updates on site as well as shareable results for your friends and family. We think this will make the competition better and let your loved ones celebrate along with you too!

It also gives us, the RD’s, more time to watch the awesomeness unfold on Waterhouse Brook Trail.

We will provide more info as we get closer to the event!

6 at the Springs is proud to welcome back .davidboyer as a Platinum Sponsor for 2026!

We are a community event first. David is an incredibly dependable pillar of our community. He shows up. He has been a multi year sponsor to our event. He can be found at many community meetings. He has a wealth of knowledge about government function and lends that to help set the policy for our town and district. Better yet, he’s a nice guy! When you see him around town, he’s always willing to take time to say hi or discuss local issues.

As the Representative for Poland and Mechanic Falls, David had a 99.4% voting record in this most recent legislative session. As we said, he shows up!

Rumor has it that he also runs. That is something this RD is hoping to see on June 20th.
