Today our very own RD Gordon Collins won 1st place at the Mission Working Dogs’ Moxie Memorial 5k with a time of 20:42 🎉🥳🙌🏼 He brought home a very special plaque and got a photo opp with Mission’s Tempo Runner, who was recently named with funds raised by our runners, sponsors and friends. Join us in welcoming Tempo to the 6 at the Springs family and sending a big congrats to Gordon!! 🐾❤️

We had the absolute pleasure of attending the latest Mission Working Dogs graduation this past weekend. If you’ve been following along with us the past couple of years, you know that we were able to name a puppy with the money our runners and sponsors have helped us raise. Mission’s Ultra Miles (“Miley” or “Miles”) and her owner Christina graduated from the program, making Miles an official service dog. We couldn’t be any more proud!! Great job, girls👏🏼🎓🐾

After three years of our event, you’ve all helped us to raise almost $9,000 for Mission Working Dogs… and we don’t think we’re done just yet!!Keep your eyes on the page for upcoming announcements about what 2027 might look like.

In the meantime, we’re looking for suggestions to name one the two little girl pups in the picture below. Let’s hear ‘em!

Our top females were as follows:
1st place Stephanie Dodson- 10 laps (40mi)
2nd place Katy Kelly- 8 laps (36 mi)
3rd place Ying Tao- 8 laps (36 mi)

Our top males were as follows:
1st place Mike Conley- 11 laps (44 mi) Mike set the new male course record and tied overall mileage
2nd place David Herr- 8 laps (36 mi)
3rd place Jesse Desper- 8 laps (36 mi)

Our top non-binary finisher:
Carey Patrick Wertz- 8 laps (36 mi)

We’re willing to bet your Maplewood Barbecue sauce bottles are already running low… because wow that stuff is delicious 🤤 The good news is you can now restock at select Hannaford stores!!

When Maplewood’s owner Wade (also a veteran 🇺🇸) told us he wanted to donate a bottle for every runner we said “Sir… that’s TOO much.” But he insisted anyway and we’re so grateful he did!!❤️

Also congrats to Poland Animal Hospital🐶🐱 own Terina for winning our mileage guessing contest! Her guess of 2222 miles was just half a lap short of the 2224 put up by you amazing runners. PAH also happens to be an event sponsor and the preferred vet for our mascot Benji.

Thank you again for being part of our community event with a trail race included in Poland! Results will be posted Wednesday morning.

In the meantime, let’s have some more fun. Can you guess the total miles run by all competitors in all divisions on Saturday? It was our biggest year yet so this will be our biggest mileage so far!

Closest without going over wins a three pack of car washes from our good friends Soak'd Auto Spa on Maine Street in Poland! Much like a trail runner after 6 hours, your car also deserves a shower.
