This race takes place in historical downtown Point Pleasant, West Virginia, during the annual Mothman Festival. In addition to Main Street, you will run through Tu-Endie-Wei State Park, which is recognized as the first battle of the Revolutionary War. Runners will also travel between the mighty Ohio River and the flood walls which are painted with beautiful murals. Check in will be at the corner o
f 6th Street and Main Street. You will then walk a few blocks north to Christ Episcopal Church, where the start at line is. This walk is the perfect warm up. The start line is between 8th and 9th streets on Main Street, a few blocks north of the museum, at Christ Episcopal Church. Go north on Main Street through the dead end, then turn left and go south along the river until you enter Tu-Endie-Wei State Park. Take a slight left and follow the sidewalk past the cabin, and follow the sidewalk/path around the perimeter of the park. Exit the park and go north on Main Street, and turn left when you get to the Mothman Museum. You will run between the Post Office and Lowe Hotel, go through the flood wall, and turn right, going north along the river. You are back-tracking at this point. Go to the end, go right and head back south on Main Street until you reach the historic State Theater. There will be signs along the route to help point you in the right direction. This course is flat and contains street, grass and gravel.
