This cold, snowy winter is dragging along way too slow. But, fear not!, we have the 3rd Annual Plymouth Pickle & Fermentation Festival to look forward to - on June 13th, 2026!!

Yes, it is PPFF planning time again so check this page for updates.

We don't have enough time at the Festival to fit in all the fermentation classes so we are planning several in advance. We had a Homebrew 101 class, focusing on beer brewing, at the end of January (apologies for not posting it on this page). The next class is a WINE & CIDER making class on Thursday Feb 19th starting at 6 pm. The cost is $40; email [email protected] to sign up.

We also have a KOMBUCHA brewing class on Saturday Feb 21st starting at 1 pm and a MEAD making class on Sunday Feb 22nd starting at 4 pm.

And there's more!

Check out www.independentfermentations.com/events for more information on all of the upcoming classes and events.

It isn't the Pickle and Fermentation Fest, but you might want to stop by IndieFerm Brewing tomorrow afternoon for Oktoberfest to support the Plymouth Schools Music Programs. Pretentious Pickles will be there and we will be having kraut mobs (i.e. make your own sauerkraut from scratch) throughout the day.

The homebrew shop will be closed Friday for the holiday so stock up Thursday. Also, it appears that the Warped Pours Festival has been cancelled. Bummer. We will have to come up with some kind of replacement for that before the summer is over, stay tuned.

Also:
Join us at the Marion Farmer's Market this afternoon (Tuesday) for beer, kombucha, and other ferments (like hot sauce and fire 'booch) from 2 to 6 PM. It is a great market with lots of vendors at a nice spot in Washburn Park. While you are in the area stop by Kate's Simple Eats ( https://www.facebook.com/katessimpleeats ) in downtown Marion for lunch (they also have our kombucha!!).

The taproom will open this afternoon at 4 PM featuring the return of Wedding Vows While Standing in a Shallow Grave New England IPA (feel free to shorten it to "Shallow Grave" when ordering or you might be there all evening, it's kind of a long name. The inspiration came from here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObinLPssZ4Y (skip ahead about 2 minutes if you are short on time or attention span).

Looking ahead to the holiday weekend, the taproom will open early at noon on Friday to help you kick off the July 4th celebrations. And we will be serving free hot dogs all day while they last. The homebrew shop will be closed on Friday.

On Saturday, the weather forecast so far is looking good so the Shady Roosters will be playing live in the beer garden from 5 to 8 PM. And, Meadow Street Grill be be doing the cooking for you starting at 3 PM.

On Sunday, we will be at the Kingston Farmers Market starting at 10am kombucha and more.
