South Shore Live Entertainment South Shore Live was developed in 2013 as a collaborative page for bands, acoustics singers, DJ's and musicians to share their events. How do we operate?

About us

In July of 2013, Mike Shaw, owner and founder of the SSLE page, decided to put a page together where musicians, bands and DJ's could post their gigs. We include acoustic sets, bands, DJ's, trivia and karaoke. As things became increasingly more difficult to keep up with, Jeff Jones from The Joneses also came on board to help admin the page. Myself and Jeff rely on whoever messages the pag

e with info or whoever posts gigs on their pages. As long as we are following them, we see them. If you have or know of gigs that occur on a weekly basis please let us know as well. When do we post? Monday through Thursday, posts go out at 4pm and 12pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Please make sure gigs are in before the posting time. What area's do we cover? Since we are sticking to the South Shore, we mainly cover (in alphabetical order) Abington, Braintree, Carver, Cohasset, Duxbury, Halifax, Hanover, Hingham, Hull, Kingston, Marshfield, Norwell, Pembroke, Plymouth, Quincy, Rockland, Scituate, Weymouth and Whitman. We extend are territory to those surrounding communities including Boston, Bourne, Bridgewater, Brockton, East Bridgewater, Middleboro, Sandwich, Wareham and West Bridgewater. Occasionally we may post elsewhere depending on the area. If anyone has questions please ask. Thank you everyone for making this page possible and please feel free to share with your friends.

Hi everyone. It’s been a long time since we’ve posted anything. It got me thinking how much I miss posting daily and supporting all of my musician friends. With everything going on with COVID-19, I have had some down time and after this is all over, I definitely want to start this up again. Although it’s a lot of work I know it can be done and with your help, we can make that happen. It seems lately that the best alternative for live gigs is to go live on Facebook. For now, I wanted to let the musicians out there know that if you are doing a Facebook live show, please comment or message the page with the date and time or a link and I will be happy to repost for you. I also see some musicians scheduling their live show in advance and creating an “event” so if anyone knows how to do that please share. Let’s share this post and get the word out! Hi everyone! We wanted to apologize for the past couple months we haven't had much for posts. Now that summer is almost here, it's time to kick it back in gear and we're looking for your help, input and feedback. As many of you may know, we have partnered with BostonBands in order to broaden the audience and ease of use of our page. These resources are available to musicians, venues and most importantly, fans!

With that said, we're hoping that the music community and venues throughout the South Shore will participate in entering in events to www.bostonbands.com. Events will be posted to both the Boston Bands website and Facebook, as well as South Shore Live Entertainment if it pertains to the South Shore. If you are a musician or venue and are not already a member, visit www.bostonbands.com to sign up. It is likely that your page already exists and it needs to be claimed. From there you can easily add/edit events, which will automatically be re-posted on the three pages. The best part is, this service is COMPLETELY FREE thanks to Boston Bands. Fans and folks looking for live entertainment will easily be able to navigate the South Shore and the Boston Bands page, locating live local acts.
