On this day 150 years ago, (August 10, 1868) eight pioneer Brothers sailed into San Francisco Bay after a month-long journey from New York City via Panama. The Brothers were recruited by Archbishop Joseph Alemany to take over the young but struggling school named Saint Mary's! Located on Mission Road near the outskirts of San Francisco, the school had three sections: college, high school and grammar departments for boys and young men. Needless to say, the rest is history!

Summer is flying by faster than one of Father Brian's slices and getting closer to our annual golf tournament on Sept. 9th. If you haven't already signed up, please do! It's sure to be a great day of golf, prizes, laughter, food and spirits. Besides that, it's FRIDAY!!!
