Plattsburgh Blues and Jazz and The Colors of Freedom Committee are proud to present a special Juneteenth concert featuring the incredible Solomon Hicks on Friday, June 19th at Retro Live. One of the most exciting young stars in modern blues, Solomon Hicks delivers a thrilling mix of blues, soul, and RnB with impeccable guitar playing, soulful vocals, and undeniable stage charisma. Hailing from Harlem, Hicks has shared stages with Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck, George Thorogood, and Joe Bonamassa while building a sound and reputation all his own. This special Juneteenth celebration honors freedom, culture, community, and the deep roots of American music through an unforgettable night of live blues.
Plattsburgh Blues and Jazz will transform Retro Live into a true live music club with a large dance floor, high-top tables and chairs, and an intimate concert connection built for a night of great music and connection. This concert is in collaboration with The Colors of Freedom Committee, affiliated with the North Country Underground Railroad Museum, John Brown Lives!
