COME FROM AWAY tells the remarkable true story of the amazing people of Gander, Newfoundland. This small town and its people played host to the world when 38 planes, carrying thousands of people from around the globe, were diverted to Gander’s airstrip on September 11, 2001. Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander welcomed these strangers with open arms and sheltered, fed, and clothed them at a time of fear and uncertainty. An unbelievable act of love for their fellow humans that can teach us all a lesson about kindness and compassion. The show runs July 24-August 2 in the Center for the Arts Concert Hall. You don’t want to miss it!

Tickets for COME FROM AWAY go on sale TOMORROW, June 1st! Come From Away runs July 24, 25, 31, and August 1 at 7:30pm and July 26 and August 2 at 2:00pm in the Center for the Arts Concert Hall. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $18 for students/under 18. BUT…for all you early birds, we’re offering a special $3 off discount for every ticket purchased next week (offer good from June 1-June 7 ONLY). So…buy your tickets next week and they’ll be $22 for general admission and $15 for students/under 18. GET THOSE TICKETS EARLY AND SAVE!! AUDITIONS!! We are now accepting video submissions for principal cast and swings for the Platteville Summer Arts Festival summer musical, Come From Away!

Auditions are open to anyone 18 years old and up, and those auditioning should prepare a video audition that includes 16-32 bars of an audition song that demonstrates your range, as well as a 60-second monologue. You may use an accompanist, accompany yourself, or use an accompaniment app.

Please submit your audition videos as well as a headshot and resume to Ann Farrelly ([email protected]) NO LATER THAN April 20, 2026. You can also email that address with any questions. Rehearsals will begin on June 15. The production dates are July 24, 25, 26, 31 August 1 and 2. We look forward to your auditions!!

Since the beginning of the Platteville Summer Arts Festival in 2018, Tyler is the only performer to appear in every summer production. Whether he’s a surly ship’s captain, a werewolf circus ringleader, a sassy journalist, a cursing Dublin music shop owner, a Russian sharp shooter, a handsome prince, or a young newlywed in a small Irish town, Tyler is always game for anything!
