Here's the scoop on The Old Onion Barn:

Currently, we are offering outdoor weddings only (ceremony outside and reception under a pavilion). As such, we are open late April to October. Ceremonies are held on the landscaped grounds and receptions under the pavilion. The large pavilion stands just outside of the large barn and nests among beautifully landscaped grounds. The ceremony site (a stadium seating style gently sloping hillside) connects the pavilion and a landscaped pond with large waterfalls. The pavilion is lighted and has electricity for music (DJ/other) and catering needs. There is a space for caterers to keep their magic flowing behind the scenes. There are also bridal and groom prep suites.

Cost (for ceremony and reception):

$3500 for up to 200 people

Over 200 people, call for pricing

This cost includes tables and chairs for all guests (chairs for ceremony seating and tables and chairs for reception seating). Linens, silverware, etc. are not provided. The cost also includes use of both bridal prep and groom prep suites. The pavilion (50'x100') is lit with dimmable lighting and houses a dance floor. There is ample space for DJ set-up and food and bar service. There is a food prep area on-site for the caterer's use.

We can easily accommodate large groups (e.g. 300 guests) or small.

The general rules are as follow:

1. You may use the caterer of your choice as long as the caterer/kitchen is licensed.

2. You must purchase/provide any alcohol (free of charge to guests and no BYOB).

3. You may use the site from noon on the day of your event until 11.30 p.m. the night of your event provided:

a) music is turned off at 10 p.m. (in respect of the sound ordinance of this rural community)

b) distribution of alcohol must end at 10 p.m.

c) all guests and belongings must be off of the premises no later than 11.30 p.m.

Further information can be provided (e.g. the contract) if you are interested.

* If you are having a small wedding (under 100 guests), the rate will be $1800 + $5/guest.

"Ceremony Only" Events

On occasion, we can provide ceremony only events. Associated costs are pasted below.

* we _are_ willing to do ceremony only events
* cost is $1200 and includes:
* use of site for up to 200 guests
* chairs (only) for ceremony
* use of site for up to 2 hours (includes decorating/guest arrival/etc.)
* use of the bridal and groom prep suites
* _no_ catering or beverage service is to be provided/used for the ceremony (no reception)
* the site can be used for up to 2 additional hours at $100/hr
* any rehearsal would be at an additional cost and would need to be scheduled in advance
* $5/guest for guests over the allowed 200

* yes, there is lots and lots of power under the pavillion ... plenty for your DJ and catering needs and then some.

* yes, we know our website is not yet active ... that's currently by design.

Hi, All!

We at The Old Onion Barn have an apology to make. Due to a family matter, we have been off-line since just prior to the start of May (2012). So, if you have FB-messaged us or emailed us, we apologize that you had not yet received a response from us. While we set up a temporary 'out-of-the-office' auto-reply to our email account, it appears the auto-reply was not sent :( . We have been responding to phone inquiries during this time, though we apologize there may have been a few business-days delay for messages from new inquirers.

If, for any reason, your inquiry was not answered (or isn't by tomorrow afternoon - May 15th), we deeply apologize. Please contact us again with your inquiry. Though, we believe we'll have caught up with everyone by tomorrow afternoon. We simply don't want to leave anyone unanswered.
